Running WinXP Pro...

Hello All,

Just a quick request to point me to any property or setting that will enable IE6 to open full screen (maximized)...currently it opens in "restore" mode, which is different from when I first started using it -- don't know how it got to this, but...

THANKS!!

Right-click the IE shortcut(s) on the Desktop, Quick Launch bar or in Start>All Programs, whichever you use to open IE, choose Properties, then in the Run drop-down list choose Maximised.

You won't find the run menu on the regular desktop I.E. icon. But do as Sparks said on the others. Best to do this on 'both' of the other two to be sure...;)

What I have discovered, yes you'll need to create a shortcut as suggest. When you create the shortcut and set the Properties of the shortcut item to Maximized, it only effects that shortcut. Some may be bothered by duplicates, you can hide the program icon using TweakUI, and then use the shortcut item instead.

I suggest taking a look at WUGNET's tip on opening new windows maximized.

Goob, Just to add to the other's suggestions.

Right click the shortcut icon for IE in your Quicklaunch or on the Start/Programs menu, choose Properties, change it from 'normal' to 'maximized'. Now open it.
Now right click any link on the page, choose Open In New Window....don't maximize it....instead, use the mouse to resize it to what you want it to be.

Now close the FIRST window you opened, and then close the new one you just resized.

Reopen IE from the shortcut icon again, and all windows from now on shouldl be the size you chose and created.

Another way is to use IE New Window Maximizer (http://www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/index.htm) This program will automatically maximize new Internet Explorer and Outlook Express windows for you.
