When I try to run the network wizard on my home PC I get an error that says it can't config the computer and to try it manually? What could be wrong??

What's the exact error? Based on the description, it's hard to tell. Please give us more details on the symptoms, and the software and hardware you are using to attempt to get your machines networked.

Eric, I figured it out finally!!
Now I have a new problem. I set up my linksys Wireless router with the default settings and everything works perfect. Now If I set it up with WEP security no matter if it is 64 bit or 128 bit the Notebook computer won't connect to the internet. The connection is there but the pages just don't display. Any idea what could be wrong? Both the Home PC and the Notebook are using the same version of Windows XP pro.

Sorry, I wish I could help. I don't deal enough with WEP with Wireless connections. Can you see the other computer? I suggest visiting Microsoft's KB Article 313242 on "How to Troubleshoot Wireless Network Connections in Windows XP." Maybe somebody here can help you.

Are you creating the key by use of a passphrase or manually? It's usually best to create a key using a passphrase you can remember.
Make sure you have the same SSID on both the router and the card..have the exact same WEP or WPA key on each.
Remember that SSID name and keys are case sensitive, meaning SSID is not the same as ssid.

Yes I created a key using a numeric paraphrase. Will that work? I also have ssid's the exact same.
On the notebook after I try to connect and can see the status page it shows everything right except the WEP is off instead of on? I am new to this, can you tell?

Numeric passpharase or a alphanumeric, it doesn't really matter, but you must creat within the block supplied for it.
