I use a program called weatherbug that connects to the internet at startup. I have winxp with dsl and a dlink router. Weatherbug takes from 40 seconds to over a minute to start at startup. If I exit the program and restart it connects to the internet instantly. Is there any way to get weatherbug to start faster at startup? Thanks.

I've not used WB in a while, you may try out Weather Pulse (http://www.tropicdesigns.net/weatherpulse.html) and see if you like it.

i like weather pulse my self. however,you can remove weatherbug from your start up list and make it manual loasd [when you want it],using registry cleaner.
