AOL IM starts when I start Outlook Exp - Why??

Using Win98SE
OutLookExp V6.

I know I have AOL IM on my desktop but not in my taskbar. When I start Outlook Exp AOL IM starts and asks me to log on. How do I stop this from happening every single time?

I would never have thought that by IM being my default messeger would cause it to open with Outlook.
