If there isn't, or you can't find it, just remove the mobo battery for a few minutes. DuaneB June 5th, 2003, 08:26 PM I think its F2. Spooky Man G June 5th, 2003, 08:29 PM this may be useless, but compaq's bios key is f10, compaq/ hp same junk in my opinion DuaneB June 5th, 2003, 08:32 PM Here's a list I found once: Delete during boot = AMI, Award BIOS Press Esc during boot = Toshiba Press F1 during boot = Toshiba; Phoenix; Late model PS/1 Value Point and 330s, HP Pavillion Press F10 when cursor jumps to top right-hand corner of screen = Compaq Press F10 when logo screen is displayed = Compaq Press F2 during boot = NEC Press F3 then F1 Sony VIAO Press Insert during boot = IBM PS/2 with reference partition Press Tab during boot = Emachine Press reset button twice = some Dells Ctrl Alt + = Misc computers Ctrl Alt ? = Some PS/2s, such as 75 and 90 Ctrl Alt Enter = Dell Ctrl Alt Esc = AST Advantage, Award, Tandon Ctrl Alt Ins = Zenith, Phoenix Ctrl Alt S = Phoenix Ctrl Alt Shift + Num Pad Del = Olivetti PC Pro Ctrl Esc = Misc computers Ctrl Ins = some PS/2s when pointer at top right of screen Ctrl S = Phoenix Ctrl Shift Esc = Tandon 386 Ctrl-Alt-Del at the beep - Acer Aspire F8 for advanced menu Ctrl-Alt-Esc Acer Aspire Spooky Man G June 5th, 2003, 10:49 PM holy testicular cancer! good job Duane, i's gonna copy, paste, and print those... DuaneB June 5th, 2003, 10:54 PM but I don't have HP Pavillion. I seem to remember someone saying that they had to use F2. I'm not going to add it to my list until someone who has one posts and tell me if I'm right or wrong. ke4pkb June 6th, 2003, 08:39 AM these are a few small cmos\bios tools. your antivirus WILL see them as VIRI! they are COMPLETELY SAFE and WORK!!! stan... http://members.tripod.com/~deathboykoasp/ http://users.powernet.co.uk/sysserv/page146.html Calpitor June 6th, 2003, 11:50 PM bowdr if it is the password you need to reset just pull the battery from the system board let the system rest for 10 seconds and restart. The next time you access the BIOS youwon't be prompted for a password to enter tjhe BIOS. And by the way duaneb you do have HP Pavillion on your list. I guess you missed it. ;) DuaneB June 7th, 2003, 03:48 AM For anyone interested in the list, I found another one at Kelly's Korner.
