I have not been able to capture any streaming audio off of the internet using any of the audio capture programs. While the program shows vu-meter activity, at playback there is no sound. I was told that since my Soundblaster was built-in to the motherboard, I would have to go to the maker of the motherboard and get a revision upgrade. I have e-mailed the company Gigabyte several times with no reply. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Paw Paw

Usually, Gigabyte has upgrades/revisions on thier website. Have you checked?
Which mb of theirs do you have? Maybe if you post that, I can help. I have used Gigabyte boards since 1998 and found no problem getting upgrades/revisions.

To capture streaming audio, you normally have to loop the sound back with a patch cord from the sound out jack (speaker) to either the sound in, or the microphone jack. I've used a free program called Audacity like that before:

Another interesting program is Streamripper, which can be used as a plugin for Winamp to record Shoutcast internet radio streams without having to loop the sound out back to sound in on the computer:
