I'm looking for the most widely used/best performing P2P in order to download music...I've heard about LimeWire, Morpheus, Kazaa, WinMx. Can you suggest a good one?

NickC February 20th, 2003, 03:30 PM Doesn't Kazaa come with lots of spyware? I thought Kazaa Lite was supposed to be better. I use Xolox because it doesn't come with spyware, but that brings a newbie question to my mind: Is there only one Gnutella network? i.e., would a search bring the same results whether you are using Xolox, Kazaa, Limeware, etc.? Or will each software have its own network? davmail February 20th, 2003, 06:18 PM WinMX is the one to go for, NO spyware, its fast, and has found all the Mp3's I asked it for. It's brilliant. MiseryQ February 20th, 2003, 06:52 PM I've just started usingPiolet for MP3s... That's all it does and it seems pretty good... Fast downloads and it's not a resource hog... I'm updating and running Spybot to check for spyware right now... Each P2P,,, usually,,, has it's own network... Gnutella is just one P2P network,,, Kazaa is Fasttrack is its own network... There are different clients for each network like Gnutella having Limewire,,, BearShare,,, etc... Or eDonkey having Overnet,,, eMule,,, etc... waiting... waiting... ... waiting... ... ... done... The updated Spybot found 11 problems on my system none were Piolet "induced"... the_scotsman February 26th, 2003, 03:14 AM For MP3s it HAS to be WinMX. I ALWAYS find what I'm looking for, with fast downlaods. davidscott28 March 4th, 2003, 01:19 AM Soulseek is AWESOME. It's the only program you'll need!!!!! Ridgerunr March 4th, 2003, 09:32 PM 1 More vote for WinMX.
