Howdy,

I want to record a song that is on an auction ad on Ebay. I can record for only 60 seconds as that is all the time that the Sound Recorder will give me. How can I change this to be able to record any length I want?? At least 4 minutes??

Thank you ..

That's all the Windows Sound Recorder is designed to do, record sound grabs to attach to Windows events.

You'll need to use something else, maybe try the free version of CoolEdit from:

www.syntrillium.com

The free version is limited to two functions at any time, one needs to be the save function, so if you want to change, say to do noise reduction, you have to save the file, drop out of CoolEdit & run it again, select what you want to do now.

There's a 30-day trial full version too.

Kind of late with this answer but you can cheat the sound recorder into giving you more than 60 seconds.
When you are ready to record hit the record button and let it run 60 seconds till it reachs the end. Don't record anything during that 60 seconds..let it run blank.
Go up and hit the edit button..punch" copy"...then drop the edit button down again and hit "paste insert" ..keep doing that till you get as many minutes as you want.
I record 45s for my music auctions on Ebay and usually run a 3 minute clip.
