I AM TRYING TO ADD MY NEW PRINTER, JUST SWAPED IT OVER AND IT DOES NOT WORK. WHEN I TRY TO PRINT ANY THING IT TELLS ME TO CONFIGER TO USE VALID PORT (LPT1) I THINK THIS IS THE SAME ONE I WAS USEING BEFORE BUT I CANT BE SHAW.
I AM TRYING TO USE PARALLEL CONECTION AS I DO NOT HAVE ANY USB PORTS EMPTY ( STEP BY STEP PLEASE I DONT KNOW MUCH) LOL....

Some additional information would be useful in assisting you. What manufacturer and model of printer are you trying to set up? What version of Windows are you using?

You need to install the printer from the software cd or floppy that came with it

I had a lexmark z22 and my new printer is an epson stylus c70 plus. I am running windows me.

Thank for any replys but I have managed to get it working . I used the device manager in windows and it sorted it out for me . thanks again to you all.
