Printer stops at Spool Mgr...

I have an Epson Color Stylus 400. It was working great til I changed the black ink cartridge. Anything I try to print stops at the "Spool Mgr".
I've check the printer to see if it works by performing a pattern check and it works fine so I'm presuming it it a windows thing.
Had this printer for 6 years and it's the first time this has even happened.
Any suggestions? As usual, thanks very much for the help!!!

FYI.. I use cartridge refill kits instead of buying brand named cartridges.

Try Un-Installing your Print Drivers then Re-Install them...Drivers could be corrupt, sometimes happens...

I agree with scarecrowdr. uninstall your software and reinstall.
I've found most problems to be software and not hardware.
I also have an epson stylus 600 and I refill my own cartridges and they work fine. If you ever look for a new printer, make sure the cartridges can be refilled. Some of the new printers can't be refilled. Check here first www.stratitec.com

I opted for a new hp instead of Epson for that very reason.Just some worthwhile info.
