wireless network & ibook

Will the basic wireless notebook adapter card work with an ibook?
I think you need the Apple airport card, which is different. Buying for a friend - not up on the Mac scene!

I've found the answer to my question - FYI for anyone who cares...
A PCI card used for wireless networking in a windows notebook pc won't work with a mac ibook - you need the Apple airport card - about $100 & probably needs to be ordered - I couldn't find one on the shelf.

You mean PC Card, not PCI Card.

I do believe there are other MAC compatible cards out there. But, I am not up on that either.
