I am trying to set up a 5 PC network at my local club, but as they rely on donations, they have some really old kit. The card is an NE-12CT, presumably an NE2000 compatible card, but Win98 doesn't recognise it as such. There are no vendor markings and no FCC ID.

The network adapters supplied are based on the UM9003f chipset, and although I have a driver - just found it so not tested yet - I need to know about the jumper settings.

IRQ is the obvious one and IOBASE can be worked out form a table on the card itself.

The next lot are

PCENABLE - I assume this will need jumping
ROMENABLE
M0
M1
M2
AUI
TPI - required fo rj45?
BNC

M0-2 refer to the ROMBASE. Is this required if there is no boot rom chip? If it is, how do I work out what the ROMBASE is. The table refers to C000H to DC90H.

If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated, especially a NE-12CT specific driver (I have a driver for um9003f based cards).

(-: :-)

This link might provide the driver you are looking for.
Good Luck
