i recently hooked up two p/c's to a netgear rp614 router, and since then i haven't been able to play on-line games(msn.zone),all my research has told me that i need to build ports to get around my firewall...only problem is that they dont tell you how....im new to networking and need some one to help(maybe even hold my hand) thx!

you may need to contact msn, or whoever else you play games through. ask them what port needs to be forwarded.

then go into your router settings and there will be an option to forward ports to an ip address.

put the port(s) in and forward it to your router. netgear likes to default the router to 192.168.0.1.

do you know how to get into the router settings from the internet explorer?

You can use the setting "DMZ host" if your router supports it.
